Velma K Fortune

Memorial Servies for Mrs. Velma K. Fortune, age 74, will be held at 4 pm on Monday, January 5, 2026, in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 3-4 pm before the service.

Mrs. Fortune passed away on December 31, 2025, in Lexington, TN. She was born on January 10, 1951, in Paw Paw, MI to the late John DeYoung and Velma Keckler Watkins. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Richard DeYoung, Kenny Keckler; son, Michael Fullington; daughter, Deeann Rose; longtime life partner, Hershel Latch.

Mrs. Fortune is survived by her son, David DeWolf; daughter, Tonya Moulton (Carter); sisters, Lucy Simonds, Margaret Wright (Jimmy); grandchildren, David Findora, Melinda Smith, Amanda Beck, Adam Moulton, Zack Moulton, and Trevor Fullington.
