Talmo Johnson

Talmo Johnson, 98, of Henderson, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, October 15th, 2025.

Born September 20th, 1927, in Decatur County, Tennessee, he was the son of Floyd Johnson and Maynard Creasy Johnson. For over 80 years, Talmo loved farming, trading and selling farm machinery, and raising cattle. He enjoyed the many friendships that were made throughout his lifetime.

He was a founding member of Faith Baptist Church where he served and attended faithfully for over 40 years. Talmo adored his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his son, Tony Tal Johnson and wife Kimberly Abington Johnson of Jackson, Tennessee. Three grandchildren: Taylor (Jenai) and children Graham, Molly-Anne, and Tate Johnson, Jordan (Hillary) and children, Peyton, Baker, and Tripp Johnson, and Abbie (Garrett) Ellis.

He was preceded in death by wife of 68 years Mary Sue Coyle Johnson, a son Dennis Harold Johnson, his parents Floyd and Maynard Johnson, and four siblings: J.W. Johnson, O. C.Johnson, Avioys Johnson, and Tavy Johnson Priddy.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 20th, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 p.m., with the service immediately following at 3:00 p.m, at Faith Baptist Church in Henderson, Tennessee.

 Rev. Taylor Johnson will be officiating.
