Robert "Rob" J Mayo

Mr. Robert “Rob” J. Mayo, age 95, passed away on November 18, 2025, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born on August 18, 1930, to the late William Enlow Mayo and Florence C. Mayo. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ellizabeth Marie Thomas Mayo; grandson, Joey A. Mayo; seven brothers and four sisters.

Mr. Mayo is survived by his daughter, Linda Martin (John) of Pinson; son, Larry Mayo of Pinson; grandchildren, Kristi Zdravkov, Wesley Lipford (Jennifer), Timmy Mayo (Milli), Brandon Mayo (Amy); great grandchildren, Zoey Colasont, Kali Zdravkov, Dylan Lipford, Brionna Thomas, Austin Mayo, Hannah Mayo, Cody Mayo, Logan Mayo, Jace James; six great-great grandchildren. Also leaving behind his precious dog “Spike” and a special friend and companion for many years, Willie Ables.

Mr. Mayo was a timber cutter for many years and also worked various jobs throughout his life. He could do anything he set his mind to do.

Graveside services for Mr. Mayo will be held at 4 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Pleasant Springs Cemetery with Bro. Glen Harris officiating.
