Glenda Faye Landers Banks

Mrs. Glenda Faye Landers Banks, age 85, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed away peacefully at her home on January 14, 2026, with her husband, Hobert, by her side. She was born in Jackson, TN on November 15, 1940, to Robert Guy Landers and Louise Overton Landers. She will be remembered for her love, generosity and strength. Glenda dedicated her life to her family and friends. She loved living life with Hobert and the many vacations they took together along with their friends from the VFW.

Glenda is survived by her loving husband, Hobert Banks; her girls, Susan Coley (Danny), Mona Crabtree (Mark), Melinda Ramey, Cindy Kirk (Scott); blessed with nine grandchildren, Gina Morris (Johnny), Jonathan Sipes (Amy), John Amos Coley, Chris Cummings (Madison), Rachel Pierce, Holden Kirk, Grayson Kirk, two of whom preceded her in death Danny Coley, Jr. and Dylan Kirk; fourteen great grandchildren, Raelyn, Jaelah, Casen, John Neil, Tommy, Millie, Tres, Elanor, Jack, Hunter, Waylon, Wrenley, Wilder, and preceded by Jaylen Morris.

Glenda loved her time spent with her brother, Billy, and their lunches. She was preceded in death by her sister, Bettye Scott; brothers, Rex Landers survived by wife Ann, Ray Landers survived by wife Helen.

We rejoice knowing that she was a Christian and is now home and healed. She was a member at Parkburg Baptist Church where she raised her girls to follow in Christ.

Funeral services for Glenda will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. John Gaters officiating. Interment will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 12-1 before the service. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to your favorite charity or organization.
