George W. "Pete" Collins

Graveside services for Mr. George W. “Pete” Collins, age 83, will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at Maple Springs Cemetery with Bro. Curtis Gardner officiating.

Mr. Collins passed away peacefully at his home with his family on August 28, 2023. He was born on September 14, 1939 in Madison County to the late Georgia Collins Belew. He is preceded in death by his mother; brother, Floyd Belew; sister, Linda Lee, Betty Daniels.

Mr. Collins leaves behind his wife of 62 years, Patricia Galloway Collins; daughter, Alicia Collins Stegall (Rush); sisters, Patsy Writesmain, Judy Bustamante (Bob); brother, Danny Belew; granddaughters, Jennifer Newsom, Piper Templeton; and three grandsons. He is survived as well by a large, loving family and group of friends.
