George Gene Gross

Mr. George Gross, age 81, of Medon, TN passed from here to his eternal home on July 21, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born in Chicago, IL on December 9, 1942, to Geroge and Bernice Gross. George was a member of Meridian Baptist Church. He loved his church family and the men’s ministry. He worked as a carpet installer for most of his life, but also worked at Murry/Noma and Grisham Stave Mill. Georged served in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years.

Mr. Gross was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Willamae Housted, Bernice Holt; brother, Tom Larsen.

Mr. Gross is survived by wife of 42 years, Cynthia Wheat Gross; sister, Lauren Miller; his blended family: daughters, Pam Hiedbrick (Herb), Debra Hubbard (Ed), Anna Gross, June Gross, Lori Root (David); sons, George Gross, B.J. Gross (Lori), Monte Cooper, Jr. (Shea), Johnny Roach, Jr. (Carry); many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

An informal visitation for Mr. Gross will be held from 6 – 8 pm Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home at 2323 Parkburg Rd., Medon, TN. 38356.
