Gary Barnett

Mr. Gary Lynn Barnett, age 69, passed away peacefully from this earth on April 30, 2025. He was born on May 27, 1955, in Jackson, TN to the late S.D. Barnett and Geneva Sparkman Barnett. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jack Barnett.

Mr. Barnett was a longtime member of West Jackson Baptist Church. He worked many years for Liberty Supermarket. His favorite activities were enjoying music, and in his child like manner, God’s animal creations. He was a person who never met a stranger and was a great conversationist. He had a kind heart and always a smile on his face. Gary will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Mr. Barnett is survived by his sister, Beverly Briley (Gerald); brothers, Don Barnett, Bill Barnett (Vickie); sister-in-law, Janet Barnett; nephew, Brandon Barnett (Kristi); nieces, Jessica Barnett, Bridget Gross; great nieces, McKenzie and Morgan Gross.

The family of Mr. Barnett will hold a private graveside service at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Highland Memorial Gardens with Dr. Clarence Lawson officiating.
