William "Bill" Ernest Parmly

William E. Parmly, 82, of Jackson, TN passed away on September 10, 2021 at Jackson General Hospital. He was born on March 1, 1939 in Alto Pass, Illinois a son of the late Delbert L. Parmly and Clara M. (Thrun) Parmly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Dolly M. Parmly; the mother of his children, Nancy L. Martin, and a son, Jeffrey L. Parmly; brothers, Donald R. Parmly and Paul E. Parmly; a sister, Joyce N. Parmly. He is survived by his son, Shawn D. Parmly and his wife, Shanda Parmly; daughter, Dana Fagan and her husband, Richard E. Fagan; daughter in law, Beth Parmly; and 6 grandchildren. Mr. Parmly is also survived by a sister, Helen Kent; his former wife and good friend, Ida Jones and her children; Dannell Plunk, Sherry Carnett, and John Stone. Mr. Parmly enlisted in the United States Navy at age 17, where he served his country for 20 years. He served in the Vietnam War and was able to travel the world. He had a heart of giving and always helped those in need. The family would like to thank all of the nurses, doctors, and EMS workers for their kindness and compassion. There will be no funeral services for Mr. Parmly. In lieu of flowers, the family asked that you please consider doing something kind for your local covid nurses, doctors, and health care team.
