Walter Ray Maynard

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Ray Maynard, age 74, will be held at 1 pm Thursday, February 23, 2023, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Maurice Hays officiating. Internment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12 pm-1pm.

Mr. Maynard passed away on February 21, 2023, in Jackson, TN. He was born on September 9, 1948, in Athens, GA to the late Phillip Howe and Grace Oldham Maynard.

Mr. Maynard is preceded in death by his parents; brother, James Clarence Maynard and sister, Peggy Maynard Mackin.

Mr. Maynard is survived by his wife, Susan Maynard; son, Scott Thompson and wife Dee; daughters, Melissa and Megan; six grandchildren; one great grandchild, and several nieces.
