Virginia Mashburn

Services for Mrs. Virginia Osborn Mashburn, age 74, will be held at 6 pm Monday, August 21, 2023 at the North Chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Jeremy Brown officiating. A visitation with the family will be held from 4 pm- 6 pm prior to the service.

Mrs. Virginia passed away on August 13, 2023 at her residence. She was born on December 3, 1948 in Jackson, TN to the late Edward Hunt Osborn and Elizabeth Duncan Osborn. She was a graduate of Jackson High School class of 1966 as well as a graduate of Union University. Mrs. Virginia taught school for over 35 years in Madison County and Fayette County schools where she was a special needs instructor. She was a life-long Christian and will be remembered for her kindness and compassion towards others. She loved being around people and never met a stranger.

Mrs. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Karl Mashburn; and brother Theo Duncan Osborn. She is survived by her daughter Krista Peck; brother, Eddie Osborn Jr.; and grandchildren Maci Elizabeth Peck and Jaxon Walker Wilson.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association foundation.
