Thomas Ray Turner

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Ray Turner, age 77, will be held at 3 pm Monday, November 29, 2021, at Antioch Baptist Church with Bro. Bill Espey officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Turner passed away on November 24, 2021, in Jackson, TN. He was born on August 25, 1944, in Jackson, TN to the late Weldon Atlas Turner and Willie Arden McCord Turner. Mr. Turner was a field representative for Congressman John Tanner. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and The University of Tennessee Volunteers. Mr. Turner is preceded in death by is parents; wife, Betty Carol Turner; sister, Rose Arden Turner. Mr. Turner is survived by his sons, Thomas Christopher “Chris” Turner (Robin), Richard Alan Turner (Hannah); daughters, Julie Carol Turner, Janet Michelle Thomas (Dale); brother, David Atlas Turner; sister Ann Turner Moore (Jimmie); seven grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held from 1-3 pm on Monday, November 29, 2021, at Antioch Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to the American Diabetic Association, American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
