Sara Nell Smith

Funeral services for Mrs. Sara Nell Smith, age 85, will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 12-2 pm before the service.

Mrs. Smith passed away on October 27, 2022, in Jackson, TN. She was born on February 7, 1937, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Doss. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobby Joe Smith; son, James Ronald “Snuffy” Smith; daughter, Teresa Lynn “Twigg” Dorris; granddaughter, Abagail Kristin Dorris; brother, James Doss; sister, Billie Ruth Doss.

Mrs. Smith was married to Bobby Joe Smith for 52 years. They raised thier granddaughter, Heather, as one of thier own. She devoted most of her life to Baker Energy and was manager for all of her working life.

Mrs. Smith is survived by her granddaughter, Heather Pigue (Terry); great grandchildren, Kaitlin Vandiver (Brice), Gracie Pigue, J.D. Pigue, Tate Pigue, Evan Pigue.
