Funeral services for Mr. Sammy William Stroud, age 72, will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, at 1 pm in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Bro. Alton Downs officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Mr. Stroud passed away on January 10, 2020, in Jackson, TN. He was born on January 23, 1947, in Greenfield, TN to the late Paul Elijah Stroud and Elsie Virginia King Stroud. Mr. Stroud is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmy Stroud; sisters, Helen Darnell, and Ruth Rolett. Mr. Stroud is survived by his wife, Barbara Stroud; son, Samuel Paul Stroud (Bonnie Jean); daughter, Kimberly Jean Stroud Moore; brother, Earl Stroud; grandchildren, Ashley Moore, Timothy Moore, Jacob Stroud; great grandchildren, Katori Moore, Anna Leigh Moore, and LuElla Moore. Visitation for Mr. Stroud will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 from 11 am 1 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.
