Rachel Lenora Jackson Lewis

Funeral services for Mrs. Rachel Lenora Jackson Lewis, age 98, will be held at 2 pm Monday, March 6, 2023, at First Baptist Church with Bro Tommy Stutts officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from 1-2 pm before the service. Graveside services will be held at 12 pm Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Mrs. Lewis passed away at her home in Jackson, TN on March 1, 2023. She was born on April 10, 1924, in Kentucky. She was raised in the Louisville, KY aera.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her infant son, Michael Thomas Lewis; husband, Rev. Thomas L. Lewis; parents, Henry S. Jackson and Sinah Coffey Jackson; brother, Ray Jackson.

Mrs. Lewis is survived by her daughter and long-term caregiver, Joy Ruth Lewis; son, Philip L. Lewis; brother, Lee Jackson and wife, Betty; sister-in-law, Bernice Jackson; various nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Lewis was a fine Christian example, and she was also a well-educated woman. She held degrees from Campbellsville University, Carson-Newman University and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
