Hobert Luther Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Hobert Luther Smith, Sr., age 96, will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at Union Grove Baptist Church with Bro. Denny Hall officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 9-11 am before the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Smith passed away on January 5, 2022, at Brookdale Jackson Oaks. He was born on May 8, 1925, in Henderson County to the late William Jasper Smith and Bertha Jones Smith. Mr. Smith served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Vada Smith; daughters, Alma Louise Smith, Norma Jean Smith, Melba Lyn Smith, Khristy Lee Smith, Barbara Rose Smith; sisters, Ruth Rinks, Anna Lee Scott; brothers, Riley Pete Smith, and William Coy Smith.
Mr. Smith is survived by his sons, Luke Smith (Debra), David Smith, Mark Smith (Debbie); daughter, Ann Watson; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Grandchildren serving as pallbearers are Christa Smith, Rustin Smith, Richard Watson, Harry Ward, Brock Smith, Dustin Smith and Brian Hammond.
