Estelle C. Pirtle

Funeral services for Mrs. Estelle Collins Pirtle, age 90, will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Malesus Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Cagle and Rev. Randy Rinehart officiating. Interment will follow at the Ebenezer Cemetery. Mrs. Pirtle passed away Monday, July 30, 2018, at Northbrooke HealthCare Center in Jackson, Tennessee. She was born January 11, 1928 in Denmark, Tennessee in the Britton Lane community to the late Frank and Wilma Tims Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Pirtle, and sisters, Docia Collins and Wilma King. She was a devoted wife, and loving mother to her family. She was a long time member of Malesus Baptist Church for over 65 years. She loved her church, and served in various capacities over the years. She loved people and was very active in her community. One of her ministries and loves was of cooking and baking for her family, and others in need. Surviving relatives include her son, Randy Pirtle (Taryn); daughters, Paula Tilley (Sam), Donna Burlison (Cecil), and Amy White (Rodney); brothers, Frank Collins, Jr., Ray Collins, and Harry Collins; sisters, Frances Dulin, Mildred King, Susie Odom, Betty Fitzwater, June Martin, and Kathy Flake; six grandchildren, Hayley, Drew, Jason, Grant, Casey, and Heather; five great-grandchildren, Emma, Carlie, Austin, Gannon, and Barrett. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Malesus Baptist Church, 480 Old Malesus Road, Jackson, Tennessee 38301. Pallbearers for the service will be her grandchildren. Visitation for Mrs. Pirtle will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018, 5-7 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home and Thursday, August 2, 2018, 11 am 1 pm at Malesus Baptist Church.
