Derrell Mims

Funeral services for Mr. Rastus Derrell Mims will be held at 1 pm Saturday, March 16,2024, at Meridian Baptist Church with Bro. Curtis Gardner and Bro. Tim Bass officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be held from 11 am-1 pm before the service.

Mr. Mims passed away on March 11, 2024, at the VA Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born on May 19, 1943, in Greenwood, MS to the late James Miller Mims and Agnes Alford Mims.

Mr. Mims is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arnie Miller Mims; sister, Charlsey Fay Mims; nephew, Stevie Burden.

Mr. Mims is survived by his wife, Bobbie A. Mims; son, Brad Mims; daughter, Tyler Mims Faulkner (Wayne); sister, Rosal Lynn Burden; grandchildren, Sarah Mims Reeves (Billy), Joshua Mims, Hunter Grant Faulkner, Sydney Faulkner; seven great grandchildren.
