Carl Clinton Petty

Carl Clinton Petty October 9, 1938 June 21, 2020 On June 21, 2020, Carl Petty passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones around him. Carl was employed at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company for 32 years prior to retiring in 1989. Carl also owned his business, Carl Petty Company, LLC, which he established in 1972. Carl was preceded in death by his parents, G.A. and Eula B. Petty, his sister, Mary Ann House and grandson, Clint Manley. Carl is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia Petty; children, Dianne Manley and Larry Petty; grandchildren, Jeremy and Mitchell Manley, Layne Petty, and Kayla Petty Williams; great granddaughter, Mattie Kay Williams; brother, William G. Petty; sister, Betty Winebrenner. A graveside service for Carl will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at 11:00 am at Highland Memorial Gardens with Bro. David Powell officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to be made to Carls favorite charity St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
