Burnice Kurhon Privitt

Graveside services for Mr. Burnice Kurhon “B.K.” Privitt, age 96, will be held at 2 pm Monday, August 21, 2023, at Highland Memorial Gardens with Bro. Jason Clark officiating. Visitation with family will be held from 12-1:30 pm at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home.

Mr. Privitt passed away on August 14, 2023, at his home in Humboldt, TN. He was born on February 20, 1927, in Crockett County to the late John Henry Privitt and Rosa Privitt. He drove trucks for over 43 years for Malone&Hyde. BK never knew a stranger and was loved by so many. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Lucille Privitt; second wife, Bertha Privitt; sisters, Eva Privitt, Irene Ellington; brothers, Raymond Privitt, J.D. Privitt, Morris Privitt, Earl Privitt, Lloyd Privitt; daughter, Patricia Crews; daughter-in-law, Julia Privitt; son, Larry Gorman; stepchildren, Margie Duncan, Carol Blackburn, and Ronnie Lovell.

Mr. Privitt is survived by his sons, Barry Privitt (Laverne), Steven Privitt; stepsons, Leon Lovell, Terry Lovell; stepdaughters, Diane Scruggs, Sandy Walski, Lisa Cruthcfield, Linda Gage; grandchildren, Paula Jones, Angel Barnes, Christy Crews, Sammy Crews, Chad Crews, Deanna Privitt, Dylan Privitt, Jana Privitt; several neices and nephews, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Sammy Crews, Chad Crews, Brad Jones, Dylan Privitt, Steven Privitt and Barry Privitt.
