Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Eulene Gates, age 88, will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at Independence Cemetery with Bro. Gerald Smith officiating. Mrs. Gates passed away on December 24, 2021, in Jackson, TN. She was born on July 13, 1933, to the late Clarence and Sammie Eubanks. Mrs. Gates is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas Gates; brothers, Willy Eubanks, Earl Eubanks, James Eubanks, Preston Eubanks, and Eugene Eubanks; son, Tommy Gates. Mrs. Gates is survived by her sons, Jimmy Scott, Nicky Scott; niece, Suzi Wilbourn; grandchild, Tommy Gates, Jr. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:30-1 pm prior to the service.
