Bernice N Coley

Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice N. Coley, age 89, will be held at 2 pm Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Little officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 1-2 pm before the service. Interment will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Coley passed away on April 19, 2022, at ACH Northbrooke in Jackson, TN. She was born on April 13, 1933, in Sandridge, TN to the late Albert Nichols and Hallie Bray Nichols. Mrs. Coley is preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Deroy Nichols, Elva Patton, Nell Bitter, Woodrow Nichols, W.C. Nichols, S.M. Nichols, Kathleen Britt, and Norease Britt. Bernice graduated in 1951 from JB Young high school in Bemis, TN. For the next 16 years she worked with the Tigrett Toy Factory in Jackson, TN and various other jobs later. She spent time as a homemaker and also became the primary care giver for her mother, Hallie, after a stroke. She married Benny Coley in 1960 and became a Mom to Jeff in 1962. Her main focus in life was always her family and her faith. Nothing made her happier than visits from her granddaughters, Deanne and Camryn. She was a Christian by faith and a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, formerly in Jackson, TN. Those that knew her knew what a loving, caring, good-hearted person she was. Mrs. Coley is survived by her husband, Benny Coley; son, Jeff Coley (Stacey); granddaughters, Deanne Coley, and Camryn Coley.
